FAQ

Q: What is window film?

Window film is a material containing metal or polyester that is used to block UV rays and darken the look of windows. It is custom cut and applied to your glass with a water based solution.

Q: Why do my newly tinted windows look hazy or blurry?

It can take several days for the film to completely dry adhere to your window. The haziness is caused by the water used to apply the window film, the window should be completely clear once the water has dried.

Q: Can I roll my windows down after tinting?

We recommend that you let your windows dry for at least 3 days to allow the tint to adhere to your windows before you roll them down.

Q: Will my tint turn purple or bubble over time?

We use only the highest quality films to insure that your car looks great for years, and doesn't purple or bubble. These problems are usually caused by using cheap materials and inexperienced installers.

Q: How should I clean my tinted windows?

We recommend using a clean, wet, lint free towel to clean your windows. If you do have to use a cleaning product, we don't recommend using anything containing ammonium like windex. For more information on caring for your tint, see the Tint Care Sheet.

Q: Can old window tint be removed?

Yes, we recommend having a professional remove previously installed film. We have all of the necessary tools and removal techniques to insure your windows are not damaged.

Q: What do the percentages mean?

The percentage value attached to tint is the amount of light that the tint allows to pass through the window. The lower the percentage, the darker the window is. 5% would be extremely dark, while 50% would be much lighter.

Q: What is the legal limit for tint?

In Colorado, the limit is 27%.

Q: How is tint applied?

Window tint is custom measured and cut for your specific application and applied to the inside of your windows using a water based solution.
